Kalp Haat

A Bazaar of Emotions

We drop the curtain on pieces of our collective identity through impassioned dances, meticulously crafted paintings, and immaculate detailing. Kalp Haat is a celebration of the different forms of expression that help us tell the tale of India, through our design collections. Discover royal indulgences, their culture, and their resplendent style in  Ganjifa. A favoured pastime of the royals, it finds its bearings in the court of the Mughals as the 'Darbar Kalam'. Ganjifa foretells the future and perhaps, turns the wheel of fortune. The timeless silhouettes feature digitally printed motifs inspired by the traditional hand-painting and microscopic detailing on the cards.

Thangka

Capturing the essence of a soul-stirring souk, ‘Kalp Haat’ is a confluence of the different forms of expression that tell the story of India. These folk references come to life on rich fabrics through digital iterations of classic motifs, surface ornamentation, traditional embroideries, and handcrafted embellishments. Thangka celebrates hand-embellished textiles and intricate details like dabka, pearl embellishment, and handcrafted tassels. It feataures refined angrakhas, and straight suits. Motifs and patterns draw from the symbolic ’Thangka’ art rendered on silks, all richly evoked in crushed bamboo brocade dupattas.
