In simplest terms, Theyyam is a ritual art form so ancient it predates Hinduism (500 BCE), though it has since adapted to include Hindu elements. Translating into, The Dance of the Gods, Theyyam is a popular ritual form of dance worship in Kerala and Karnataka, India. Theyyam consists of several thousand-year-old traditions, rituals and customs. Our collection draws from this inspired dance form in its print story and textural detailing.
